It's been too long.

It turns out people really read this stuff, about a quarter of a million since the last post.

It's an overwhelming number, and scares me into not writing. So this year I'm going to write some shorter, simpler things, for the fun of it, regardless of how little you will enjoy them. I'll use bad grammar and will spell things incorrectly.

I'm also committed to writing my other blog practical betterments. If you like all the micro-optimizations this site talks about, you'll enjoy it. It's the same principles applied to everyday life. Some of them are actually really useful.

Goals for 2026:

• Write a practical betterment every week.
• Release the game I've been working on for ages.
• Tweak the heading font of this site so it doesn't cause nausea – and maybe write about how it works because I get a lot of queries about it. Sorry for not answering them!
• Sell some pots (i've been doing pottery.) I may even write about it here.

Sometimes I come across things worth sharing but I don't want to write a whole article — or it's a link to someone else's stuff.

Those things will now appear as short posts in the feed on the homepage.
